Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage

This system of massage dates back to the 3rd century BC when Buddhism first came to what is now known as Thailand. It’s origins are attributed to Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha a Physician from Northern India who was a contemporary of Buddha.

Thai Yoga Massage focuses on balancing the flow of energy or air called “Lom” through lines in the body called “Sen”. The practitioner uses a combination of Yoga stretches and rhythmic pressure to stimulate flow and unblock the Sen.

A full Thai Yoga Massage will last for at least one and a half hours. The session generally takes place on the floor. The recipient is fully clothed in loose or flexible clothing so as not to restrict the movement of the body.
